FROM TRANSLATOR TO SOLDIER

FROM TRANSLATOR TO SOLDIER

We’d like to tell you about our friend Nasim,  who served US forces in Afghanistan as a translator and cleric for five years.

We first met Nasim about a month ago after he contacted No One Left Behind requesting assistance. At that time he was two weeks away from being evicted and homeless in Gulfport, Mississippi. He had one simple request – would we help him get to Denver and find a place to live until he could enlist in the US Army.

Today, Nasim proudly took his oath of enlistment into the US Army.

Even after all the difficulty of getting a visa, he couldn’t wait to formally serve his new country. “I nearly cried as I took my oath,” he told us afterwards – it means that much to him.

We are able to help Nasim and others like him thanks to your support. For that, you have our eternal gratitude.

Thanks for helping us Keep America’s Promise.

Please join us in wishing (now) Private Nasim good luck in Basic Training and his Army career!
