Kimberly Martinez

San Diego, CA Chapter Head

Kimberly Martinez is a proud native of Denver, Colorado and became a resident of San Diego through her service in the Navy. Kimberly is a Senior Systems Engineer at Raytheon San Diego. Her titles include Lead Control Systems Engineer on the LPD-17 Navy ship program and Site Diversity Council Coordinator of nine Raytheon diversity groups. Kimberly is also a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserves with 12 years of active and reserve service. Her tours include units at Commander THIRD Fleet, SEAL Team 17, and the Joint Fleet Maritime Component Commander. On active duty as a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer, she served on the USS Bunker Hill (CG-52) and the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) where she completed three Western Pacific deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Kimberly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
